Within this project, a team of experts are working together to develop rigorous mixed methods for evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of the Youth Mental Health Academy (YMHA) and its core components. The YMHA is a 14-month community-based program for students from structurally marginalized communities in California. YMHA provides hands-on learning in mental health science, practice, and communications through: project-based learning, mentorship, paid internship and integrated support.
The YMHA program is currently receiving applications from any high school student in California who is interested in participating in the program. The application deadline is March 15th. Students will be notified by May 1st if they matched with the program.
